In reference to Bug #1276, remove ALSA support from SDL, since it'll be in OpenAL.

The Mac version of 1.2.7 has some issues.

Plus, it doesn't build out of the box, since it's missing some files; either
./configure without the CD-ROM subsystem, or sync to CVS (since there was a
commit today that might fix this).

Comment 6 Ryan C. Gordon 2004-02-25 06:23:21 EST
Mac SDL 1.2.7 doesn't respect joysticks removal, so the game locks up when
unplugging some USB sticks.

Patch to "fix" this attached.

Created attachment 208 [details]
Listen for HID removal events and ignore removed stick input.

Sending to upstream maintainers, too.

Fixed issue where software renderer mode in a window wouldn't have a frame.
Moving to newer versions of libraries is a scary proposition. :)

SDL-1.2.so.0 for Linux and Linux64 is locked down now, pending Stefan's patch,
which I still need to consider.

Stefan's patch didn't make it in (sorry!), but I'm closing this bug as done for
having otherwise updated.
