Description theBlind 2006-06-16 08:12:09 EDT
This happens whenever Windows switches my monitor into energy conservation mode (don't know the exact wording an english windows uses, sorry).

After the screen is re-activated (eg by moving the mouse), the game will have it's brightness setting re-set to the default value.

Re-setting the brightness in options will behave as normal as far as I can tell.

Reassigned to ioq3.

Setting a QA contact on all ioquake3 bugs, even resolved ones. Sorry if you get a flood of email from this, it should only happen once. Apologies for the incovenience.

Is this an SDL issue, or a Quake 3 issue, do you think?

I'm sorry, but this most likely is beyond the scope of ioquake3. The problem is more likely to be with SDL, and even that is not certain. (Does windows somehow tell its applications it has enabled/disabled the screensaver?). No matter, nothing we can do here.
