Description Rob 2004-08-09 22:49:29 EDT
I am running Suse 9.1 x86_64 2.6.5-105(?latest kernel version) NVidia 6111
driver, on an A64 3200+, Chaintech NF3-150 board, 512 MB Mushkin 3500 LVLII,
NVidia 5700 Ultra. Here's the problem. If I play on a server that is using a
map I don't have, it starts to download it as normal, it clicks up to 100%
pretty quickly then goes to 0% and clicks up veeery slowly 0.1 0.2 0.3 etc.
That wouldn't be so bad but it keeps going beyond 100% I have let it go up to
260% then I get disconnected from the server (game probably ended). Else, it
plays very fast with nary a slow down.

One more thing. I am dual booting my machine with Win XP 32 bit and it downloads
new maps very quickly (and doesn't go over 100%). I have a cable connection so
usually it is pretty fast. Also 1 correction I am running Kernel 2.6.5-7.104.

Is there any other information that you need for this? It is really getting to
be a pain, because any server that is playing a map that I don't have is
basically unplayable because I can't get the map downloaded. Let me know if
there is any other information that you need.
