So, here's what you do:
Press C-M-Left to switch workspace, and hold C-M.
Having let go of Left, press w to open the window menu.
Release C-M
Click somewhere outside the menu to close it.
The desktop-switching window lingers.
Switch back and forth between two workspaces, and the window disappears.
Probably (hopefully) related is the following:
Press S-M-Left to move a window to the to-the-left workspace.
Let go of Left, press and hold C, press Right then Left.
(that is, switch back and forth while holding down a modifier key)
Now, you can't give focus to the window by pressing Alt-tab.
(this seems to only be the case when the workspace only has this window)
Give it focus (with mouseOver); now you *can* give focus to it w. alt-tab.
More observations, similar to the first case:
Press C-M-Left to switch workspace, and hold C-M
Let go of Left, press w to open the window menu, and release C-M
If you press escape:
The desktop-switching window and the menu disappear
Else, if you click outside the menu (closing it), *then* press escape:
You switch back to the workspace you came from
End if
This seems inconsistent. I don't care which escape-behaviour I'm going to get, since I probably won't use it, but I think it should be consistent. This will probably be a moot point anyways, once the opening-window-menus-doesn't-close-the-desktop-switching-window bug is fixed.
I have now stopped you from being able to open a menu while switching focus or desktops. Please try all your test cases and let me know if something is still not working.
