Description Robert Cutrell 2006-06-26 23:18:54 EDT
I just got a new dual-core iMac and I transferred everything over from my 17" G4 PB. UT2004 was working fine on my PB, but on my iMac I don't hear any of the voices when entering taunts, orders, etc from me or from anybody else. Also my voice keybinds won't work, they all say "Defend the base" instead of what I've chosen. I was (and am) running 3369.2.

I reinstalled UT2004 and I still have the same problems. I have heard of at least one other person with the same problem on the MacAddict Forum

I forgot to mention also, that the other person on MacAddict tried to run UT with just the 3369 patch (not 3369.2) and said the sounds worked fine. I haven't tried that yet, but I can if it will be helpful.

If I force UT to open using Rosetta everything works fine again, although much slower and frame rates basically make it unplayable. Switching back to Universal and the problem is still there.

Is this bug with Intel macs ever going to be resolved or is support for UT2004 now dead?

This is verified on my new 24" iMac C2E with a fresh system and UT with the
latest patch installed. Please fix.

I'll look into it. We still can patch UT2004, but it's low priority compared to, say, getting UT3 out the door.
