'This is getting needlessly messianic'.

Sure, it's excellent having first a GPL compiler before supporting 64bit windows but it's now 2009 and still it's only possible to compile it 32bit.

The free-to-use compiler is the one from Windows SDK latest.

* get latest SDK
* make a project on Visual C++ (already done)
* compile it with msbuild/vcbuild on command line
* fix the errors
* profit

The project file mostly works but it needs someone with time and knowledge of programming and ioq3 to finish it.

Near the end you can read about the use local headers snag. And it needs server and tools projects for that solution, too. QVM compiles, could go either way, the binaries are the more important things to get workin'.

So yeah, I'm rootin' fer ya with the 64-bit! You might want to write out a general how-to as a starting place or something. Just be aware that all the issues might not be hammered out with the solution/project files. Most of them, but not all.
