When doing this under RedHat 9:
[root@superion ut2003]# ./ut2003lnx_full2199.sh.bin
Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing Unreal Tournament 2003 for GNU/Linux 2199
patch..........................................................................................
cannot handle file 'libc.so.6' with TLS data
The program returned an error code (1)
[root@superion ut2003]#
this happens.
The error also applies to former versions of the patches.
Also the game doesn't install the loki update tool. Is that normal too or am I a
jerk about that question ?
Get this:
http://unreal.epicgames.com/linux/ut2003/ut2003lnx_patch2199.tar.bz2
And unpack it so it overwrites files in the installed game's directories.
This will move any retail version of the game to 2199.
RedHat 9 (or, specifically, the new glibc) breaks loki_update.
