Crash Log
Bought the Mac version of Psychonauts via the Humble Indie Bundle V, and I seem to have run into a crash similar to another reported earlier (#5541).
At the end of the level titled Obstacle Course Finale (after getting through the spinning logs bit, then running down to the end of the white/grey brick hallway towards a red-curtained window) a cutscene plays, and the game promptly crashes once this cutscene ends. Tried again about eight times, with the crash occurring again after the cutscene each time. Crash log is attached.
More specific system specs include the following (I meet the minimum specs listed on the Humble Bundle website):
Mac OS 10.6.8
3.2 GHz Intel Core i3
ATI Radeon HD 5670 graphics card

I have the exact same problem. Coach Oleander says, “I left some good men back there!” and starts twitching, Raz turns and walks away, there’s a fade-out, and then KA-BOOM: crash straight to Finder. Attached is my crash log, which (based on a quick glance through psuedoprometheus’ crash log) will tell the same story: “Crashed Thread: 0 Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread”.
System specifics:
Mac OS 10.6.8
2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 (one processor, two cores)
8GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M (256MB VRAM)
I do also have:
Intel HD Graphics (built-in)
…but it shows “Status: No Display Connected”.
I’m happy to create more crash logs if needed—it’s (so far) a 100% reproducible crash for me.

I seem to be having the same problem with a crash after getting the first merit badge. I've attached the crash log at this point. Psychonauts also crashes any time I try to use full screen.
This patch should fix this specific problem:

Download, double-click to unpack, and run the patch program that should pop out. If you're playing the game on Steam, it already has this patch included.
Note that this patch also adds FSAA support...if you find the game is way slower than it was before, that's why. You can turn that off in the Display Options menu in-game if it's causing you problems (there's a checkbox that reads "FSAA").

(I'm adding this comment to many bugs that this fix might apply to...sorry if you see it multiple times or it doesn't _actually_ fix your issue.)
Here is a new test build, please try it and report back. It's a 2.1 megabyte
download, so you don't have to redownload the whole game again.
This is meant to fix crash bugs mostly. We still have rendering issues, etc to sort out. If this didn't fix your issue, please report it on this bug. If there are still other unrelated issues, please file a new bug or add yourself to the CC list of one of the other bugs. Linux users, download this...

...and unpack it. Overwrite Psychonauts and libSDL-1.2.so.0 with it. This works with either of the first two builds from HumbleBundle.com.
Mac users that aren't using Steam, download this...

...double click it, and run the patcher program it produces.
We'll do a more formal build once we get some feedback.
