I believe there is only 1 pixel to click on when resizing windows with the mouse (clicking edge of the window)  This has become rather painful for me.  Please allow me to "grab" nearby pixels.

That would prevent you from clicking inside an application window near the window frame. I don't think I like that scenario.

You can:
a) Use a theme with a larger border/edit the theme to have a larger border.
b) Use other mouse bindings to resize (such as alt-rightdrag) and click anywhere in the window.
