Correctly positioned subwindow

On PCManFM the subwindows are normally centered. But sometimes I'm seeing subwindows in the top left corner (in the attachments are 2 screenshots to compare). First I have opened a bug report on the PCManFM bugtracker: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3614308&group_id=156956&atid=801864
But they said this is a bug in my window manager so I'm posting this here.

Please provide xwininfo and xprop outputs for the window both when it opened correctly, and when it opened incorrectly, and possibly also relevant openbox --debug output. If you can't, which exact version of pcmanfm are you using?

The version of PCManFM I'm using is 1.1.0.

Okay, that's a bit weird... In both cases the window requests to be placed in the upper left corner. Unfortunately I can't try it here since it requires lots of gnome dependencies.
