Initially I have created a ticket on the Wine bugtracker as I'm noticing this issue on Wine games: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30967

Changing the resolution of a fullscreen application will reult in a cropped window. For example setting the resolution of Diablo 3 from 1680 x 1050 (whch is also my system resolution) to 800 x 600 will give this result: http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=40633

Moving the mouse to the border will result in a scrolling. It seems nobody was able to reproduce it and maybe it appears only on Openbox. Also somebody has given me the hint that some window managers have such behavior as feature called "oversized desktop".

I couldn't find any information about such a feature in Openbox. I'm also not sure if this is really a bug related to Openbox.

A user on the wine bug says they have the problem with fluxbox too, so I'll close this bug as invalid, but thank you for reporting it.

Openbox doesn't have the larger-than-monitor virtual desktop panning feature, but the X server will do the same thing if you set a larger workspace than the monitor resolution, and I think that's what happening in wine.
