Description pizzadude 2014-06-20 11:11:55 EDT
I'm using Linux Mint 13 32-bit with a GTX 660, i5 3470k, and 8GB of ram.
Goat City Bay under custom game will get to the loading screen, then Goat Simulator crashes.
Comment 1 dudy190+rcfuys 2014-06-20 21:52:07 EDT
Getting the same results. I choose the City Bay map, it goes to the loading screen, then exits. Running Ubuntu 14.04, with Intel HD 4000, and 8GB of ram.
Comment 2 musicmaestro24 2014-06-27 20:04:43 EDT
Running Ubuntu 14.04 over here as well, on an Intel Core i5 @ 2.6GHz, and a Nvidia GeForce 610 M with on 64-bit with 8GB ram. Always crashes after loading screen when I choose Goat City Bay. However, the original map works fine as well the new features.
Comment 3 Jason Wright 2014-06-28 19:05:29 EDT
Same behavior for me -- Goat City Bay crashes after the loading screen.

The tunnels in Goatville to Him Len and Helvete also cause the same type of crash, but I don't know if this is intentional or not.

Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit, Intel Core i7-4770K, 32 GB RAM, Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics
Comment 4 benev 2014-06-29 11:06:37 EDT
It's also happenning for me (Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit. i7, intel HD4600 graphics).

A custom game of Goat City Bay crashes, as does trying to get through the tunnel from the first location. I get a loading screen, then the game dissapears and I'm back on my desktop.

Can also confirm on (K)Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit
AMD A10-6800K APU with Radeon HD Graphics
Comment 6 Daniel 2014-07-03 15:55:23 EDT
Same problem under Debian Jessie 64-bit. Intel integrated graphics.
Comment 7 barry.mingley 2014-07-04 22:32:36 EDT
Having the same problem, on Ubuntu 12.04 and Windows 7. When I go to load the map it crashes. 8gb Physical and Virtual RAM (swap on Ubuntu), Intel Quad-Core ~3.5 GHZ, on board graphics. The only solution I've seen work on the Steam forums was to increase your virtual RAM to 3GB+ but I have more than enough.
Comment 8 toemmeinquake 2014-07-06 16:12:20 EDT
Same problem here. I'm on Debian GNU/Linux Jessie (amd64).
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-3110M CPU @ 2.40GHz
Graphics: Intel HD 4000
RAM: 8GB

I tried to make a core dump, but, as expected, it wasn't very helpful:

I also have another system running Debian GNU/Linux Jessie (amd64) which has an Intel i7 CPU, 8GB RAM and a NVIDIA GTX 660 Ti graphics card (proprietary driver from nvidia, aptitude says it's version 331.67-2). On that system, however, the map seems to work (so far).
Comment 9 Brady O'Brien 2014-07-12 01:55:13 EDT
I have the same issue. Xubuntu 14.04 amd64, Radeon HD 7850, radeonsi driver, i7 2660k, 8gb ram. The issue is present with both the amd64 and the x86 binaries.

Terminal output when run with GDB:

Same issue here:crash after splash screen -- don't see any logs.
Comment 11 Berry 2014-07-12 18:39:03 EDT
Same problem as the others. Game loads then crashes.

I was having the same problem until I updated my graphics stack in Ubuntu Update Manager. I put off updating stuff for a while and today I updated the usual kernel stuff, however I noticed it said something about updating graphics stuff. After I rebooted Goat Bay City worked like a charm.

I just updated my (K)ubuntu to the latest one as well but it still crashes :(
