Description Simon Morgan 2006-07-09 13:28:55 EDT
Despite the fact that all other signs seem to indicate that DRI/GL is working properly, ioquake3 seems to think it isn't.

This is not our problem.
Comment 4 Simon Morgan 2006-07-09 17:36:15 EDT
That really isn't very useful. I couldn't find any other bug reports (or I wouldn't have filed this one) and the mailing lists don't seem to be searchable so could you please tell me who's problem it is (and maybe what the problem is) so I can go and hastle them instead?
Comment 5 Zachary J. Slater 2006-07-09 18:42:54 EDT
You have either a) an unaccelerated mesa libgl (as in, not related to your working dri) or b) some other driver screw up.

Get an nvidia card, read the lgfaq: http://www.icculus.org/lgfaq/
Comment 6 Simon Morgan 2006-07-10 07:10:50 EDT
If either of those points apply to me then how come things like ppracer and lugaru work fine?
Comment 7 Phil Bordelon 2006-07-27 10:22:20 EDT
If you're running at 16bpp, it may not be your fault. It could be this bug:

https://bugzilla.icculus.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2796

which also causes a GLimp_Init() failure on my machine when unfixed.

If you can, try that patch and see if it fixes your problem?
Comment 8 Ryan C. Gordon 2007-05-21 11:27:44 EDT
Setting a QA contact on all ioquake3 bugs, even resolved ones. Sorry if you get a flood of email from this, it should only happen once. Apologies for the incovenience.
