Description Oliver Feiler 2004-02-13 18:36:04 EST
I get no background music, neither in the menu nor the game. All other sounds
(sfx, announcer) play fine. Toggling "UseDefaultDriver" (True/False) doesn't
change anything. Not sure if this _should_ make a difference, but I tried.

Works fine in UT2003, btw.
Comment 1 Oliver Feiler 2004-02-13 19:07:13 EST
Hm, turning up the volume really high reveals that the music is actually
playing. Just very, very quiet.
Comment 2 prower 2004-02-13 19:17:12 EST
Had the same problem myself, as well as with the game's sound in general --
seems to be very quiet no matter what I do with it :/
Comment 3 Matthew Arnold 2004-02-13 22:33:27 EST
Ditto. I have to crank up the volume in alsamixer before running the game even
with the sounds set at their loudest. This is with the ALSA drivers that come
with kernel 2.6.2 on Slackware 9.0.

this isn't specifically an alsa bug. i get it with OSS-style drivers too.

Seems like the music is playing, but the gain is way too low. Will check.
