Description F Pikus 2006-12-13 01:48:54 EST
I've installed FudgePack, did complete install (postal, postal2, and expansions).
Postal2 does not start, this is the error message:
MisingIni

History:

Exiting due to error

I checked with strace what files it's trying to open and can't, it's looking for
$HOME/.lgp/postal2/System/Default.ini

which is indeed not there. I checked what Default.ini files I have in the directory where the game was installed:
./postal2game/ApocalypseWeekend/System/Default.ini
./postal2game/AWP/System/Default.ini
./postal2game/EternalDamnation/System/Default.ini

So in all ./postal2game/*/System/ directories I have 2 .ini files, Default and DefUser.ini. But not in postal2game/System.

Add the two attached files to either postal2game/System, or $HOME/.lgp/postal2/System ... and it should work.

Apparently there's a bug in the installer, as it should have put these in postal2game/System.

Ryan thanks for your help.

When I saved the files I wasn't sure what to rename the files as. For anyone else downloading these:

Attachment #1 [details] should be saved as: Postal2.ini
Attachment #2 [details] should be saved as: DefUser.ini

For some reason there are links in my last comment?

Bugzilla turns "Attachment #X" strings into links.

Attachment #1 [details] is "Default.ini" ... "Postal2.ini" will work, too, but it could confuse things later.
