Description Kirk Jones 2003-08-16 20:25:03 EDT
During game play at 1024x768, mouse look is limited to a very small window. I
can look a little left, and a little right, but I can't turn 360 degrees for
example. If the direction I need to go is behind me, I have to backup to get there.
When I first start a new mission, on the screen that tells what you are supposed
to do, the mouse will only move in the upper left hand corner in what looks like
a 640x480 window. If I trace the mouse in a circular motion around that little
window, it will then grow to what appears to be 800x600, and again grows to full
screen of 1024x768. However, during game play, this does not work.

Do you have the mouse input ungrabbed? Hit CTRL-G and see if it fixes things.

I have the same problem with mouse look, CTRL-G didn't help. I had to set arrow
keys for 'turn left' and 'turn right' to be able to turn around and see in each
direction.

I also see this problem. If I remember it correctly from back when I played the
windows version, it is supposed to be like this. The mouse only allows a limited
rotation, like 270 degrees. A confirmation that this is indeed a feature and not
a bug would be helpful.
Comment 4 Sami Nieminen 2003-08-17 11:11:18 EDT
If this was a feature, then there would be a default key set for turning left and
right, but there wasn't. I certainly hope that this is not a feature, because it
makes moving around way too complicated.

Hi, I have the same problem, I'm using SuSE 8.2.
